Support EECAP Fundraising Campaign

When a family member dies or becomes ill with a chronic disease everyone loses so much in so many ways.

But what would it be like to find out that your loved one died or became ill because of work done for the United States government?  Hundreds of thousands of US citizens struggle with this daily.

During World War II and the Cold War the United States produced nuclear weapons.  By the end of 1947 over 600,000 workers had been involved in the creation of these weapons.  Since then hundreds of thousands of additional workers have been exposed to radiation and other toxic substances.  And production is still on-going.

While these people were working the government told them they were safe. This was not true.

Congress established the  Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) in 2000 to provide medical care and compensation for these workers.  They did this because these workers were put in harm's way without their knowledge or consent and were dying or becoming ill from their exposures at these plants.

Unfortunately, EEOICPA quickly became a very difficult program for an individual to navigate without help.  EECAP was created to help people with this process.

The Energy Employees Claimant Assistance Project (EECAP) began in 2005 with one person helping another. In 2007 EECAP became a 501c3 non-profit with the mission of seeing that all valid EEOICPA claims are paid. Since then EECAP has helped hundreds of nuclear weapons workers (or the families of workers who died) with their claims and provided good, solid information to thousands more. EECAP provides help to individuals on a case-by-case basis as well as running the best website for EEOICPA information.

For years EECAP has been helping workers.  Now EECAP needs your help to continue.  Please donate as generously as you can.

Another way you can help EECAP is by setting up your own Fundraising Page and raising money for EECAP by contacting your friends and family through social media.  It's easy and quick to do.

Thank you so much for your help.
